Increasing Skirt Size Over the Years Could Imply an Increase in Breast Cancer Risk
(Diabetes Insider) – Middle aged women whose skirt size is on the rise could be more prone to breast cancer, according to a study carried out by University College London. The study points out that women who find their skirt size increasing with every passing decade after their mid-20s had a 33% higher risk of breast cancer post-menopause.
It has been always believed that obesity is one of the biggest risk factors for cancer. And tracking weight gain could be as easy as checking your waist size, which women need to be watchful about. The study had more than 90,000 participants and all women were above 50, living in different parts of England. As many as 1,090 of these women developed breast cancer during the follow-up period of three years.
