Will Google Put The Song Lyrics Business In Trouble Too?
(Bidness) – Google Inc’s (NASDAQ: GOOG) latest tool to enhance user experience on its website has been announced. Instead of looking for song lyrics on a third-party website, Google itself will now give you the lyrics. Just by typing the names of your favorite songs, a drag down popup with the lyrics will appear.
Now, you won’t have to bother opening a new tab or window to find the lyrics to a song that’s stuck in your head, or embarrass yourself by humming the song and trying to break the lyric wall you are stuck at. All users have to do is type the song’s name in Google’s search bar and they will directly get the lyrics from Google Play Music.
The new feature is a way for the company to promote its Play Music service that it has built over the past year. The service is only available in the US for now, but Google plans to roll out it out globally in a few months time.
