The Show Must Go On: Wells Fargo and Thurgood Marshall College Fund Brave Hurricane Sandy to Support Student Scholars
Wells Fargo sponsors the 25th Annual TMCF Leadership Institute

[CHARLOTTE, December 13, 2012] – Last month, Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) hosted its 12th Annual Leadership Institute and Recruitment Fair in New York – just ahead of Hurricane Sandy. Wells Fargo is a longstanding corporate sponsor of the event that provides a forum for student scholars to gain access to corporate leaders and developmental opportunities.

In the spirit of partnership and commitment to students, Wells Fargo leaders made the decision to move forward with planned company hosted events despite the impending storm. In addition to a meet and greet reception where TMCF students had an opportunity to network with Wells Fargo senior leaders, the company also facilitated multiple workshops and seminars focused on career readiness and financial education. The events were successful, and there were no storm related impacts.
