Who do you know that’s famous; they achieved their goals easily, and never failed? No one! Those persons who finally make it are those who decide “I’m not quitting, no matter how hard or how long this takes.” Finally, one day, it all happens, as if the Lord just says, “This one is never planning on quitting” His Servant Job is a perfect example.

God will deliver us through our seasons of suffering. We must all face hard times. Satan was allowed to torment Job, to tempt him to curse God and die, according to the scriptures; God did it because He knew Job would never turn from Him. And he didn’t; Job knew his strength came from the Lord and clung tightly to Him during his season of suffering. He said, “All the days of my appointed time, will I wait til my change comes!”

When we go through troubling times, we may not be able to see the beginning from the end, but we can take comfort in knowing that God works for the good of those who love Him. It could be a test! Take comfort in knowing that God is in control. Job 38, 40:1-14. Job didn’t discover why he went through so many difficulties, but he did come to the realization that God was indeed, in control. In the end, Job’s wealth was doubled!

We learned God’s ways are not our ways; and like Job, we don’t know the reasons for the difficulties we face in this life. However, take comfort in knowing that God truly loves us, and He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. Your work may appear to be too difficult, but persevere; never stop until you get there.

As we travel along in our cars, at times, we find ourselves heading in the wrong direction, and we run into detours, dead ends, etc., what do we do? We turn around and get back on track.

In life, that’s all we need to do. When you find yourself traveling on a road that will surely not take you to your destination, turn around…fast, pray and hear from the Heavenly Father. He will show you the way.

Repeat another of my favorite scriptures along the way, Proverbs 3:6, it says “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Psalm 46:1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 34:17 says “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles.” That’s the only way you will be rewarded.

As I look back over my life, and think of how the Lord has led the way, my soul cries out Hallelujah! A young girl working in the hot sun with my family, picking cotton, dragging a sack! Yet, forty years later, look at God…worked ten years, consulting for a college in Detroit, Michigan, historical black college; in a city that became my home away from home; and having met executives at Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Comerica Bank, and Hitsville, USA/Motown; met celebrities like The Winans, basketball star Grant Hill; Hall of Fame singer Martha Reeves; and others — my steps were ordered by the Lord!

Most of the time, we set our goals based on the way we already think. We come up with elaborate plans, and when our circumstances change, we’re now forced to do things a bit differently, some will continue, others quit. We can’t seem to figure out how those seemingly simple plans can become a reality, because things aren’t going our way, we quit.

Hear from Heaven first. You will still make some mistakes along the way, but that’s how you ‘fail your way forward to success”!
