Surf Report: Hot Tech Trends for 2015

(USA Today) – Now that 2014 is officially behind us, it’s an opportune time to look ahead to the tech trends we may be buzzing about over the next year.
In fact, it’s the eve of the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which serves as a window to the near future, so you bet companies ranging from small start-ups to international tech giants will be on-hand to show off their wares.
The following is a (purely subjective) look at exciting tech to expect over the next 12 months. Oh, and be sure to share what you’re most eager about and why in the Comments section.
Wearables
While still reserved for “early adopters,” wearables — including smartwatches and smart glasses — will become the next battleground for gadget Goliaths like Samsung, Apple, Google and Microsoft.
