What a difference a year makes.

Riley Cooper, who last year became the face of bigotry in football, has agreed to a new five-year contract with the Eagles. The new deal for the wide receiver, who was eligible to become a free agent next month, is reportedly worth $25 million.

Cooper, who was caught on tape shouting “I will fight every n—– here,” at a Kenny Chesney concert last summer in the City of Brotherly Love, rebounded from the scandal to have the best season of his four-year NFL career. His breakout season included 47 receptions, 835 receiving yards and eight touchdowns (all career bests) for the NFC East champion Eagles.

“Love being in Philly,” Cooper, 26, tweeted Thursday morning. “Proud to be an Eagle.”

Cooper called his actions “inexcusable” last August after the video went viral and the Eagles shipped the University of Florida product off to counseling.
