New Bill Cosby Accuser Surfaces, Says Comedian Assaulted Her

(The Washington Post)—Another woman has accused comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault. Joan Tarshis, who said she is a publicist and journalist, wrote a detailed account of her alleged encounter with Cosby for the Web site Hollywood Elsewhere.

Her charge, along with others, has not been independently verified.

Cosby’s lawyer has dismissed rape allegations against Cosby as old and “discredited,” and said there would be no further comment on them.

The encounter Tarshis describes occurred in 1969, she said.
