Kemp Accuses Democratic Party of Hacking into Voter Registration Database
ATLANTA VOICE — The Georgia Secretary of State’s office — ran by Republican candidate for governor Brian Kemp — formally launched an investigation into the Democratic Party of Georgia after an alleged hacking attempt in the state’s voter registration system.

This morning, the Georgia Secretary of State’s office — ran by Republican candidate for governor Brian Kemp — formally launched an investigation into the Democratic Party of Georgia after an alleged hacking attempt in the state’s voter registration system.
The Secretary of State’s office did not make any specific pieces of information public.
“While we cannot comment on the specifics of an ongoing investigation, I can confirm that the Democratic Party of Georgia is under investigation for possible cyber crimes,” said Candice Broce, spokeswoman for the Secretary of State’s Office. “We can also confirm that no personal data was breached and our system remains secure.”
The FBI and the United States Department of Homeland Security have been notified of the alleged hacking that may have taken place Saturday night.
