Jameis Winston’s First College Football Loss is Likely His Last

PASADENA, Calif. (New York Post) — Jameis Winston was at midfield of college football’s most iconic stadium, once again in disbelief.
Less than a year ago, the phenom had capped an unprecedented freshman season, hoisting a national championship trophy more than a month after holding a Heisman he could call his own.
The Rose Bowl was the most wondrous place in the world, the hypnotically beautiful mountains surrounding it unable to compete with the green grass where he had the greatest moment of his career and gave Florida State its first national title in 14 years, with a game-winning 80-yard drive and a championship-winning touchdown pass with 13 seconds left.
Not far from that podium where he smiled so wide, where life seemed like it could get no better, life was surreal once more Thursday night.
The first loss of Winston’s career was here, the worst experience he had ever faced on a football field.
