St. Louis based World Wide Technology Inc. ranked number one on BLACK ENTERPRISE Magazine’s 41st Annual list of largest black businesses.

“Our report on the largest African American-owned businesses in the U.S. highlights the achievements of intrepid entrepreneurs at the helms of top-flight organizations, while providing the most significant barometer of the progress of African Americans as business leaders and producers, not just consumers and laborers, in the global economy,” says BLACK ENTERPRISE Senior VP/Editor-in-Chief Derek T. Dingle.

World Wide Technology (WWT) is an award-winning systems integrator and supply chain solutions provider that brings an innovative and proven approach to how organizations evaluate, architect and implement technology. Founded in 1990 by David Steward, WWT has grown from a small product reseller into a global systems integrator with more than $5 billion in annual revenue and more than 2,200 employees throughout the world.

“Year after year, while reporting on the moves of the best of the best, we are inspired by the boundless ingenuity and determination of the CEOs of the BE 100s, worthy of emulation by all entrepreneurs, regardless of race,” Dingle said.

WWT serves the technology needs of large public and private organizations around the globe and ranks 93rd on Forbes Largest Private Companies list. WWT attributes its ongoing success to strict adherence to core values, a clear vision and mission, and a customer-focused team of professionals. As evidence of our strong corporate philosophy, WWT is also ranked #24 on FORTUNE’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list.

Roberts Companies also ranked on this year’s BE’s 100s: The Nation’ Largest Black Businesses for 2013. The locally owned and operated Real estate and hotel development/management, multimedia organization formerly known as Roberts Brothers Properties L.L.C. and Roberts Hotel Group L.L.C. came in at number 64.
