Vikings Among Teams With Most Under-25 Talent
(SB Nation) – As we go into the 2015 NFL regular season, the great E$PN Paywall has an article behind it ranking all 32 NFL teams by their talent under the age of 25. Last season, the Minnesota Vikings ranked #3 overall on this list, and while they’re still near the top, they aren’t quite as highly ranked as they were last season.
The rankings, put together by the folks from Football Outsiders, have the Vikings ranked at #7 overall in the NFL in terms of the talent they have that’s under age 25 (not 25-and-under, as you’ll see on the Vikings’ commentary). Here’s what they have to say about our favorite team’s roster:
There’s a buzz for the Vikings this year, but they fall on this list for four main reasons. First, Cordarrelle Patterson was one of the most disappointing players of 2014, as he failed to develop at WR as expected. The return of Adrian Peterson diminishes what Jerick McKinnon might do this year. Xavier Rhodes, Blair Walsh and Kyle Rudolph all turned 25.
