It’s March, just about the time of year when the PGA Tour money list and FedEx Cup standings start separating into the haves and have nots. The golf season is far enough along that all the early flukes should be balanced and the best golfers in the sport should be rising to the top.
That’s exactly what Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, Webb Simpson, Jason Day, Zach Johnson and Jordan Spieth have done thus far, as those six highly-ranked players are in the top 11 of the money list.
However, some other top golfers have yet to get into gear, namely Tiger Woods, who is near the bottom of the 230-man PGA money list. The sport’s all-time leading money winner has played two tournaments in 2014 (he tied for 80th at the Farmers and withdrew at the Honda Classic) and currently ranks No. 222, with $10,919 earned.
