The Democrat and Republican Plantation
by Mal Dixon mal.dixon@mailcity.com

Black America has two problems: Black Democrats and Black Republicans. Both are touting the pathetic, tired and trite lines and doing all they can this election year to either maintain the Black voting bloc, or ciphon off a chunk of it to tip the balance in their preferred party''s favor come Nov 2nd. Health care, tax breaks for the middle class, jobs, education, etc are horizontal initiatives that benefit everyone. Neither party and its Negro minions have done anything to deal with the crucial issues specifically affecting Blacks in this nation such as mandatory drug sentencing, gerrymandering, gentrification/urban renewal, reparations, Affirmative Action and racial profiling. They won''t address these issues or if asked, will tip toe around or speak against, yet they want the Black vote and expect to get it with symbolic gesturing that both parties have now perfected. Al Sharpton, at the recent DNC, said to Bush, ''''Our vote''s not for sale'''' when he should''ve said to both political parties--''''Our vote is not for free!'''' We give our vote and demand nothing! No other group gives their vote without demanding anything in return. Blacks pray and hope that the benevolent white man selected by the power elite will be their saviour just as the white Jesus on some of their walls. As Dr. Claud Anderson, author of the book ''''PowerNomics:The National Plan to Empower Black America'''' has said, Blacks play politics to play and not to win. So the party faithfuls need to get off of both the Democrat and Republican plantations, become independent and only give their vote to the candidate who will address their needs and interests without compromise or apology. The other option is for Blacks to start their own political party--fund it and field their own candidates who will address their interests. Chapter 7 of the book ''''PowerNomics'''' goes more into depth on this matter. But this is the bottom line!
