Michael Strahan, Warren Sapp Feud Continues; Implies Good Morning America Host’s NFL Career Is Overhyped

Soon-to-be NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp questioned former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan’s credentials to join the greats in Canton. Sapp blasted Strahan and said the current “Good Morning America” host made a career of playing football against “the weak guy,” the Tampa Tribune reports.
Sapp made his feelings known on Wednesday and called Strahan a near “bust” before changing sides on the d-line to matchup against the opponents’ less talented players. The jab came as Sapp argued his former Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate Simeon Rice as more deserving for the Hall of Fame than Strahan.
“Nobody ever talks about Simeon,” Sapp told the Tribune. “Simeon was a better rusher than Michael Strahan any day of the week and twice on Sunday.”
Rice played with Sapp on the Bucs from 2001-03. During those three years, Rice averaged 14 sacks per season. He finished his 12-year career with 122 sacks.
