(USA TODAY)—It all comes down to this. The campaign is coming to a close, and we’re now on the eve of 36 Senate, 36 gubernatorial and 435 House races being turned over to the voters. We’ll have full coverage throughout the day and night Tuesday on all USA TODAY platforms as America goes to the polls.

But first, here’s the election buzz for Monday, with just one day to go.

Obama’s last stand

The 2012 presidential contest may have been the last election in which he appeared on the ballot, but the 2014 midterms are, in a sense, President Obama’s final campaign. The outcome of the closely watched battle for the Senate will have significant consequences for Obama’s final two years as president, affecting everything from his legislative agenda to judicial nominations.
