Dwyane Wade Rumored to Have ‘Mutual Interest’ in Lakers, also Linked to Cavs

(The Washington Post) — If Dwyane Wade is just trying to bluff the Heat into giving him the contract he wants, he and his camp — including his father — are doing a pretty good job of at least giving Miami fans reason to worry. On Tuesday, he referred to his Heat career in the past tense on national TV, and Sunday brought more reasons to wonder if he’ll be playing for a new team this season.

Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix tweeted out rumors of “mutual interest” between the guard, who has played in Miami for the entirety of his 12 years in the NBA, and the Lakers. Wade could opt out of a player option and make himself a free agent, while the Heat would prefer that he opt in.
