Ciara Responds to Future’s Concerns About Their Son Spending Time with Russell Wilson

(USA Today) – Remember when Ciara and her 15-month-old son Future Zahir went to Seahawks training camp to visit Russell Wilson and it was adorable? Well not everyone thought so, specifically Future Zahir’s father and Ciara’s ex, Future. The rapper has raised concerns about his and Ciara’s son spending time with Wilson, including a series of profanity-laden tweets after the training camp photos surfaced.

But in an interview on CBS This Morning Thursday, Ciara made no apologies:

“Wouldn’t you want someone to love on your child, or love on the child that you’re speaking about?”

The singer went on to say that Future Zahir is her top priority, and she’s mostly concerned with how he will respond to the comments:

“People are going to talk about me. I was built for this, this is what I’m supposed to be doing. But when it comes to your child, it’s something I don’t take lightly. At the end of the day, my son will be the one that’s affected the most out of this. I think people have to think about that versus just shouting out things.”
