LOS ANGELES (E! Online) — CeeLo Green has been dropped from the lineup of two concerts, including one sponsored by the U.S. Navy, following recent controversial comments about rape that were reportedly posted on his Twitter page.

The 40-year-old “F–k You” singer and former The Voice coach has not commented about the cancellations. He had apologized for the controversial remarks that he said were “attributed” to him and which were deleted following an online backlash. The controversy immediately followed a recent drug case involving CeeLo and a woman.

CeeLo was supposed to co-headline a Freedom Live brand gig on Sept. 20 at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling military installation in Washington, D.C. with the country group Little Big Town. Organizers recently announced the singer will no longer perform.
