Browns Pull Off Historic Comeback, Beat Titans 29-28 to Go to 2-2 on Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (The Medina-Gazette)— Tight end Jordan Cameron has only been in Cleveland for three-plus years, which explains his naivety.

“I don’t think there was any doubt with anyone no matter what the score was that we were going to come back and win,” he said late Sunday afternoon.

Cameron’s sanity can be questioned by tortured Cleveland fans, but not his sixth sense. He saw another Music City Miracle coming the whole time.

The Browns overcame a 25-point deficit to beat the Titans 29-28, completing the greatest comeback in the franchise’s 65-year history. The previous best came in 1966 after trailing the Giants by 20.

It also qualifies as the greatest comeback road win in NFL regular-season history.

“It speaks to the character of the men in the room,” first-year coach Mike Pettine said. “The resiliency, the poise, the focus. I think a lot of teams would have shut it down given what we faced at halftime.”
