Beyonce Responds to Baltimore Riots: ‘People Are Hurting’

(ETonline.com) — As six Baltimore police officers now face criminal charges, including one second-degree murder charge, in the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray while in police custody, Beyonce is speaking out about the Baltimore riots.

On Thursday, the 33-year-old pop star called for donations on Instagram, writing, “People are hurting. Join us in supporting the NAACP to help in the cleanup efforts and to provide housing, food and supplies to those affected by the unrest in Baltimore.”
