(Design & Trend) – Fred Wilson, who works for New York’s Union Square Ventures – one of the top tech investors in the country, believes that Apple is on a downward spiral and by 2020, the biggest tech company in the world will cease to be top three.

He predicted that the future top three tech companies would be Google, Facebook, and one we have yet to hear about.

He said that Apple is not invested enough into the cloud, and that makes it a challenge for it to continue evolving.

“I think hardware is increasingly becoming a commodity,” he said. “Their stuff in the cloud is largely not good. I don’t think they think about data and the cloud.

He doesn’t believe Twitter will rank in the top three, and expects it will land in the ranks of four through seven.
